You know it’s not summer anymore when you start freezing your bum off in a queue for a nightclub. Most opt for the – get to the club as quick as you can and make sure you drink lots so you don’t freeze when you go for a cigarette – option.
At Stealth they have a sign next to the cloak room which reads: ‘Leave your coat in here at your own risk!’ I’m not joking – it actually says that. I always find it amusing when the dopey looking boy they put there has to rummage through about 100 jackets piled on the floor and flung around the place to find yours. Him: ‘What does it look like?” Me: “Umm its black.” … He often looks like he might cry when he realises just about every other coat and jacket in there is black.
I know it may sound odd that I’m talking about coat rooms and cardigans but I hope some girls would agree that clubbing attire is a bit of a dilemma in the winter. Rarely do you see a girl clubbing in trousers and even tights are starting to be seen as a no, no.
There’s always that iffy moment just before you’re about to leave the house when you suddenly have a panic about whether you can brave the walk without a jacket or not. Then comes the part where you start asking all your girl friends if they’re taking one. Somehow it seems better to be freezing in numbers, rather than on your own.
How crazy it is that we refuse to hang up the summer skirts and dresses. And you can be sure that bottles of fake tan will be knocking about the bathroom all year round too. If I had my way, it would be ok to have pale legs and wear an Eskimo jacket to a drum and bass night. But maybe that’s just me. The funny thing is…I’m not sure boys even take much notice! Perhaps I will…

I like this post, made me laugh about the poor boy in the cloak room
Thanks Sammi, yes I couldn’t help but laugh too! He did seem very overwhelmed, lets hope he got through the night.
clubbings easier for guys all I have to remember to take is my wallet and my phone!
can’t say iv ever bothered with fake tan, no point. Tights and jackets all the way
i never take a jacket no matter how cold! its just easier
Im look forward to more of these posts, i love going out, it’s the only time I can have fun after a long week at work! funny what you said about the coat room being a mess, if only there was a way to avoid all the queueing and waiting around for ur jacket when ur feeling worse for wear, not a lot else the clubs can do though other than try and accommodate every1.
glad I’m a boy!
its true dont think boys even notice all the fake tan half the time
keep the blogs coming!
My girlfriend takes FOREVER to get ready, mainly I presume because of this fake tan business. Girls look better without it! And besides clubs are dark.
so true clubbing is a pain in the winter – too cold to brave the cold but too hot inside
i dont suppose the blokes are complainin about the bare legs and fake tan! i always just brave the cold on the walk down to the club. its easier than messin about with coats and jackets. especially the one in stealth that place is a liability!! wicked music tho – always does a good job of saturday nights
Ahh u need the trusty vodka jacket! never lets me down!
Man up Girls! lol
Great comments guys, thanks!
haha yeah! beer jacker for those chilly winter months!! xxx
